For questions not covered by the FAQ, use our Contact Form to send us an email.

01

Is the tour safe?

While there are some incidents of opportunistic theft within Monrovia, the tour sites and meeting point (at the BSC Monrovia office) are generally very safe. We recommend that participants take normal travel precautions during the tour and their stay in Monrovia.

02

Where do we meet?

The tours start and end at the Business Start-Up Center (BSC) Monrovia office located in the IT building on the main campus of the University of Liberia. The building is located just beyond the basketball courts.

03

What do I need to bring?

We recommend that tour participants bring snacks and sun cream as needed. There will be opportunities to purchase lunch from Liberian social entrepreneurs on the tour, however participants are more than welcome to bring their own lunch. The tour provides complimentary water and hand sanitizer as well as coffee and tea in the morning.

04

What if it rains?

The Social Imact Tours run rain or shine, even in the rainy season (May - November). Transportation is provided in the form of an air-conditioned van.

05

How many people are in a group?

All tours are limited to approximately 16-18 people to ensure that each participant has adequate time with the tour guide and social entrepreneurs.

06

Are reservations required?

Reservations are required for all tours. Sign up early to guarantee your spot.

07

Are children welcome on the tours?

Children of all ages are both welcome and encouraged to join with an accompanying adult.

08

How far ahead do I need to book a tour?

Tours fill up very quickly so we recommend that you book well in advance.

09

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that unexpected things can change your plans. However, we ask that you cancel no later than 72 hours ahead of your scheduled tour. Please note that our meeting times are strict and the group may not wait for late arrivals. It is very important that you arrive on time so that site visits are not rushed or missed.

10

Do you accept credit cards at your office?

The BSC Monrovia / Accountability Lab Office does not have card-payment facilities. Tours must be paid for in advance through our secure online system using a credit card or Paypal account.

11

Are there Terms & Agreements of the tour?

The Accountability Lab and the Business Start-Up Center Monrovia (BSC Monrovia) are not liable in the case of accident, illness, strikes, civil disturbances, or other incidents beyond our control. The Accountability Lab and BSC Monrovia are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to possessions while participating in Social Impact tours. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where it is deemed advisable for the comfort and well-being of tour participants.
